On Saturday (12.10.2019) at 12.00, there will be a meeting with the outstanding creator of posters – Andrzej Pągowski, which will be hosted by Weronika Wawrzkowicz-Nasternak.
Andrzej Pągowski
Graduated from PWSSP in Poznan. Author of more than 1400 posters released in print since 1977 in Poland and abroad. In addition, he deals with book and press illustration, is the author of covers of record publishing houses, theatrical and television set design, scripts of films and music videos. He paints. He won numerous Polish and international awards, including the Hollywood Reporter Competition in Los Angeles (The Best of Show Award, six times gold medal, several silver, bronze and distinctions) and the Chicago International Film Festival (Silver Hugo Prize and many others). He presented his works at many individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His posters may be found in the MoMA collections in New York and San Francisco, as well as the Pompidou Center in Paris. MoMA has placed a poster of “Smile of the Wolf” among the 100 most important works of modern art in the MoMA collection.
